Then welcome to SVB! Founded in 1989 by Thomas Stamann as a one-man company, SVB is still a family run business - now with two generations at the helm, Thomas himself and his two children, Judith and Andreas Stamann. Today, SVB employs over 100 people, is the owner of 18,000 sqm of office and warehouse space and ships around 2,500 packages every day. We recently won the award for best online shop for yacht & boating equipment in Germany, and can proudly boast that we are the largest mail order company for sailing and powerboat equipment in Europe, with our range of products now available in 6 languages! And we’re only just getting started!

So, who are we?
A strong team of over 100 men and women who provide 100% support to our customers, without having to worry about bureaucracy or hierarchies getting in the way! We’re able to do this in different ways, whether through direct contact with our customers and giving technical advice or indirectly by improving our website, its content, purchasing new products or providing fast deliveries - a motley crew of young and old, who have only one goal: to make your life on board and working on the boat as uncomplicated as possible!

No matter the product, no matter the field: we have focussed on the sale of innovative water sports products since day 1 and have built up a reputation over the past decades that is second to none: Our technical specialists can answer (almost) any technical question!
We are young and we are old
We believe in the next generation and train accordingly. Many management positions at SVB are held by former trainees (SVB Youngstars) and 90% of all apprentices stay with us after graduating. In fact, the first and longest remaining for over 25 years! That said, we are not only young, but also experienced and traditional! Many SVBers have been with us for years and pass on their experience to new generations.

SVB not only speaks German, but also French, Italian, Spanish, English and Russian. Our employees come from far and wide, including Mexico City, Paris, Bordeaux, Naples, Milan, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Morocco and many other places around the world. This allows and requires us to look at things with different eyes, usually more open!

Fast, faster, SVB - but how?
We have 95% of all products listed in stock when you need them!
We know from experience when certain products should be in stock. This means that we can order products and make sure that seasonal items are available for purchase at exactly the right time. Of course, sometimes setbacks can occur, so in the unlikely event of an out of stock item, you’ll be able to see when it should be available again and can pre-order.
60 minutes - from order to dispatch
We speed things up! For even faster order dispatch, and more space for new products and stock items, we have converted and expanded our logistics to include an automatic small parts warehouse. On average, it takes around 60 minutes for us to pick, pack and dispatch your goods (in stock). Up to 2,800 packages leave our warehouse every day.
In safe and sustainable packaging
How your order is packaged is a top priority of ours, especially as the SVB range consists mainly of technical items that require special protection during delivery. Each SVB packing station features special machines that not only help to reduce the use of packaging materials that are harmful to the environment, but also ensure the best possible protection of the goods during transport. This makes it much safer to ship heavy products and boat paint in particular.
We keep an eye on your package even after it has been shipped!
Once it has been packaged to our satisfaction, your parcel is handed over to our shipping partners. Online tracking allows you to closely follow your package. But we never lose sight of your shipment even after it has left our warehouse - every day we receive its shipping status and automatically intervene if the standard delivery time is exceeded!

We‘re proud to offer our customers Europe's most comprehensive range of sailing and powerboating products. Not only do we have more than 30,000 products available for our customers to buy, we also write descriptions for them, photograph them ourselves and inspect them. We are the exclusive spare parts supplier for Bavaria Yachts and regularly work on establishing further useful partnerships for our customers to benefit from!

Customers ask customers and manufacturers
The SVB team has daily telephone, personal or written contact with thousands of water sports enthusiasts around the world. We do our best, but we can’t always answer all questions immediately and sometimes not as thoroughly and honestly as someone who has already used the product or even manufactured it could. So, we created a platform for our more than 400,000 customers and over 300 brand names to talk to each other and share their experiences at any time of the day or night.
Ask questions about products and get answers immediately!
If you have a question about a certain product that has not yet been answered online in the product text, you can ask all customers who have already purchased it what they think. Some manufacturers are "Brand Experts" and if your product is part of their range, not only will your question reach other customers, it will also go to the manufacturer themselves! Of course, you can also throw your own tuppence in and answer a question about a product that you own – you’ll be informed by e-mail if there’s a question about something you bought from us.
