I got these to reduce the electricity consumption of my Neff extractor hood, which takes 4 x 20w halogen bulbs. Being in the centre of my kitchen island, I have the lights on on the hood a lot during the day, as it is the main source of light in the room.I was relieved that the significantly larger Leorx LED G4s fit easily into the light units on the hood. However when I had replaced all four halogen G4's with the LEDs and switched it on, the lighting effect on my cooker island was nowhere near as bright as with the halogen bulbs, and looked rather cold and dingy. It would appear that LED light just doesn't reflect back off surfaces as well as halogen light does.I have settled on a compromise by replacing two halogens with the LEDs (top on attached picture) and leaving two halogens (bottom, noticeably brighter), so have still managed to save 35w, which I can live with.The Leorx LED G4s look very well made and like they will last a long time, but do be aware that they are NOT as bright, or as warm, as 20w halogen bulbs, so are somewhat a compromise. I would say they are a good replacement for 10w, but are not a 20w 'equivalent'.UPDATE: Since reading my review the supplier has refunded me the cost of my bulbs. In response to this generous gesture I have added an extra star to my review of these bulbs.

Cannot comment on how long they last, so I accept the claims. Certainly a great saving on electricity. BUT, very much larger both in length and width than halogen, so may not fit some. Also take care to order either Warm White, or White, as the difference if mixed is very noticeable. Also note output equivalent, 10W/20W etc. Have not yet fitted to dimmer controlled light, so cannot comment. Lastly ordered late Saturday, arrived before Sunday lunch.

    I brought these to replace the G4 halogen bulbs in various fittings around the house and in my 12V garden lights. . I bought the AC/DC type as I have no idea what type of transformer these lights have and I am not an electrician. These bulbs arrived in good time and were well packaged. they seemed very well constructed and give a very good light output. My only concern with these bulbs is, as mentioned by others, their relatively large size when compared to halogen G4 bulbs and to some other LED replacements. These bulbs are 12 mm in diameter and 27 mm in length excluding the pins so you need to measure very carefully to make sure they will fit in your light fittings. In my case they just fitted in my kitchen cupboard lights but were too wide for my bedroom lights as the relatively narrow lamp covers would not fit over them. They were perfectly OK for my outside 12V lamps as there is plenty of space in these. I have also purchased Elinkume 2W AC/DC LED G4 bulbs. These were not as bright but were slightly smaller (10 mm wide and 25 mm log excluding the pins) so were ideal for the fittings that the LEORX bulbs were too large for.

    These bulbs are excellent replacements for G4 fittings. I have fitted them in a 12V AC fixture, and they provide very good light quality. I estimate they are about a third brighter than the standard incandescent bulbs they replaced - on two adjacent fixtures, one with the LED and one with the original, the LED is definitely a good portion brighter.

    The light colour is good, with a nice warm tone for an LED.

    They are a lot bigger than standard incandescent G4 bulbs (mostly in length), so if your shade is a tight fit, they might not be suitable, but if space isn't a problem, these are performing really well.

    I put 11 of these into a hall light to replace the halogens. They are dim and the light is inconsistent. They flicker and completely switch off before coming back on a few minutes later.
    Like others, I wish I had read the reviews first.

    However I have been contacted by the company as a result of this review and had a full refund. Very good customer service.

    These bulbs are bright, and have a really nice tone. Not harsh, but not too yellow. The are easy to install as you no doubt know if you have lights of this fitting already.

    I did however find an issue with them which is why I've had to knock 2 stars off. I have a light which 12 of these bulbs get installed into, and another with 5 bulbs going into it. Once fitted I found that the bulbs were all flickering. I though I had damaged the light, but when testing the other light, it did the same.

    I figured out that if you put a single standard bulb into the light (not LED), it smoothed out the flickering, and the lights worked as normal. So there is 11 LED, and 1 standard. The other has 4 LED and 1 standard. I covered up the standard just to test and see if there was still flickering going on that I just couldn't see due to the normal light filtering through, however there is no flickering. It's strange, but works perfectly now. It's a bit annoying since the idea of getting the LED lights was to save power, and I'm having to use 1 high energy bulb which on its own uses as much power as the other 11 LED lights combined, but it's still a massive reduction so I'll stick with it.

    We had 5 fully exposed G4 bulbs for our dining room ceiling fitting. I found the halogen G4 bulbs were very flimsy - if they were touched could very well break easily. These LED G4s give off almost exactly the same type of light at a fraction of the energy usage, and a rubber coating means they are far more robust than their halogen counterparts. I did note other reviewers mentioned their size - they are almost twice the size of the halogens. As ours are fully exposed it does not make any difference but be wary if any limitation on size due to the fitting. Other than that am very happy with them.

    Really excellent replacements, provided they fit into your light fitting. I used these in my OASE pond lights. Fortunately there was just enough room in the fitting to accommodate these bulbs and so I am saving on electric costs, also they should last much longer than the small halogens they replaced and there is less condensation in the fitting because they are much cooler when in use.
    They didn't fit the kitchen fitting, or the chandelier fitting. So I only gave them "4 star rating". The light quality is good and there is no buzzing or interference, as far as I can tell. I fitted one into another light fitting and have not heard any buzzing, there is no flickering and no apparent interference.
    So, great if they will FIT. Check your measurements!
