This unit seemed great however upon installing I was very disappointed, the hose between the two unit is pre connected making it difficult to fit as you have to hold two very heavy units at the same time, this hose also does not flex well making it even harder to install. The outdoor unit is also very noisy and this causes vibrations which you can hear inside. Overall this unit is rubbish as it is very difficult to install and is to noisy when in use as for the cooling I'm not sure as I didn't keep it turned on. Oh also it features a pre fitted non removable EU plug and not a UK plug so you either need an adapter (not included) or have to connect your own. DO NOT BUY

Awkward item. Ok if you're fit to manage two heavy units at once

    Eurom AC2400
We bought this as we had sold up in the UK and decided to move to Spain touring down the coast before crossing into Andalusia. My wife, me and the dog. I read all the reviews prior to purchase but ploughed ahead as it was in our price range.
Things to remember, empty it everyday, don't lose the little rubber stoppers as there are no spares, keep the filter clean. All this takes less than 5 minutes, yes less than 5 minutes.
How does it fair in a 23ft bailey in Spain with temperatures up to 39 degrees. Absolutely brilliant so far, 6 weeks in to the trip. Remember how to use air conditioning, close windows and doors and roof openings, sit back and stay cool. We have at times had to leave our dog in the caravan (due to buying a property), without the Eurom we would have been stuck but it's kept the van cool. We usually put it on 10 minutes before we need to use it i.e. Bed time and you then enter the van and notice the difference.
Not much to remember to do, the controls are easy, we set it for 4 hours at bedtime if it's too hot after that we click it on again it's that simple.
I think it's a great piece of kit and does the job it's designed for.

Bought this for a trip to Italy. Glad we did! We have a seven meter caravan and it was brilliant. To be honest struggled a bit during the day time in 35c. Will lower the temp five or six degrees with Tge blinds down. To be fair you are in a big tin can in the heat so it won't work miracles. But night time is where it was amazing. Turn it on a hour before bed and you turn a 28c night time into 18c. Remember to close all your windows though. We had amazing fresh sleeps whilst neighbours in caravans said it was too hot to sleep! You must remember to link up the hose to the sink or you will get a wet floor. Likewise the outside part needs a hose under neath fixing to the outlet or you will get a wet floor there too. Overall a brilliant buy. It makes the same noise as a fridge so it's rubbish it's too noisy. Well worth the buy. If can afford it, get one if yiu like caravaning in hot climates.

Arrived in excellent time etc etc but was a bit disappointed with the overall performance of this. We used it in the South of France in late August and although it took the insufferable heat out of the caravan it did not cool very well. There were no instructions in English so we did not realise (duh) that it would have a reservoir that would need emptying. We assumed, that as the unit sucked air outside the humidity would go with it. No, we woke up one morning to a flooded caravan. We have since bought a stand alone unit which we will use next time, same weight, 10% of the cost from another well known site. Sorry, don't waste your money. Very disappointed for the money it cost.

Very happy with this unit. Yes it is a bit awkward getting in or out of the window but with practice I'm sure it will get easier. We left our cats inside the motorhome on a fairly hot sunny day, obviously with the sun blinds closed and were very pleased with the result. No its not like a big 2kw roof ac unit but it does keep the van comfortable. I would say that it is fantastic value for money but do your research first and fully understand what you're buying.

Really pleased with this. Easy to use and so useful especially in Southern Europe where it kept us cool and helped us sleep at night by bringing the temperature down to a reasonable level.

Great unit and really impressed. Cannot compare with a roof unit but it's half the price and you don't have to lug it about everywhere.
