Used twice now for detail sanding and cutting wood and plywood and so far it is faultless. The machine instilled confidence as soon as i picked it up the quality is that good. Yesterday I cut a small recess in 18mm hardwood ply using a small wood cutting sanction blade on highest speed setting and it went through it like a hot knife through butter with minimal vibration and noise. The power cable is very long and also top quality (does not coil or twist) the sanction blades I bought for the fein are great value and quality too but the supplied hex key is poor quality so purchased a t handle hex for a few quid which works a treat (also reviewed on Amazon). I believe this is one of the single best investments I have made and I know it will get a lot of use over the yrs.

Used a customers Fein machine some time back and was really impressed. Bought this one but obviously didn't read the spec well enough.....thought it was a keyless tool change.....it's not!! The tool change procedure is a pain and at first attempt, no matter how I tried not to, managed to cross thread the screw. Thankfully it seems quite happy to operate with the cross-threading and it is now much easier to locate and tighten when changing the tools. As for usage....don't know how I managed without one....it is brilliant to work with and very efficient.

Product does not contain the majority of attachments as described in the product description. Comes with basic attachments as you will find elsewhere on the internet for a fraction of the price. Save yourself £50 and buy elsewhere.

I bought this for a specific job that would have taken me a few hours with hammer and chisel - this did it in about 10 mins (using two cutters supplied) then I swapped over to the sanding attachment and finished it off - all with one tool! I bought a teng 5mm hex key to ensure I dont round off the lock as another reviewer had - I think this is one of those tools that you wish you had found many years ago and saved yourself a lot of hassle. The back up from the UK office is superb - the quality of the multitool is also top rate - over 10 foot of power cable (!) - just refects german quality throughout. Buy the saxon tools for it as they also excellent. Dont think I would spend the extra on the lock handle unit - just buy a hex key. Even the case in good quality!

I bought this for my partner who uses it in a professional capacity.

It performs well and is a useful piece of his kit the only quibble he has with it is that it is a bit annoying to have to change blades with an allen key. However this is the more basic version and for the great price he got it at, its an easy thing to live with.

It is a solid piece of kits, with a metal body, it comes with a few bits and pieces and a sturdy, solid carry case.

Great product at a great price.

Having decided to buy an oscillating saw, I read all the available reviews to see which offered the best value. There seemed to be 2 routes, buy a cheap one to do a job knowing it will give up soon or buy a good quality saw. I choose the latter. The Fein impressives from the start, even its case is impressive, demonstrating high production values. The saw feels solid without being heavy. It is smooth in its use, largely free of vibation, which means you can be very accurate. As advertised, these saws will cut into places no other saw reaches. The Fein does this with ease and authority. I have used it for 3-4 weeks now so cannot evidence its longevity.

Always fancied one of these multi-tools, so did a bit of research and found that the best ones appear to be the Fein make. These are made in Germany and Fein were the inventors of this type of tool back in the 60s. For the money you get the basic model which, although it doesn't have the fancy tool-less blade change of the posher and more expensive models, appears to be identical in all the areas that count. Comes with a 16ft power cord which is handy. The case it comes in is superb quality, with 2 built in tool buckets which are ideal for storing blades etc. Unit itself is heavy and feels very well made. Just need to find a job for it now !
